An Actors Life: Auditions
Although it can be lots of fun and even a ‘learning’ experience, the chance of getting the part are always very low! The only rule I have is to do as many auditions as possible with enthusiasm and never take the fact that they don’t even bother to call you back personally. They’re busy and besides, some fellow actor got a nice, well paid role!!

Chances of actually getting the role when they say...

What they say What really happens
- It’s a 99.9% sure
- I just have to convince
  the client
- It’s 80% sure
Snowball chance in hell
30% chance, if you’re real lucky

Don’t count your chickens

Breaking News:

Recently I did an audition where the director had the nerve to say that he had me in mind when he wrote the script. I did a terrible audition and forgot about it... The next week I became ‘Henry’ of ‘Henry’s Kitchens’...
